Hello and welcome to the website for Parkend Primary School, part of The Forest of Dean Community Schools Federation, linked with Yorkley Primary School, working together to make our community stronger.
Parkend Primary is a small school with BIG ideas — a popular and well-respected school with roughly 70 children on roll. Ofsted rated us ‘Good’ overall with two areas ‘Outstanding’, reflecting our commitment to high standards and the strong sense of care that underpins everything we do.
Set in the heart of the Forest of Dean, our children benefit from a rich outdoor learning environment, including our Forest Classroom, Trim Trail, PlayPod, and whole-school biking initiative, which encourage active learning and a love of the outdoors.

Parkend School Won the Gerald Dowle School's Challenge Shield
Huge congratulations to Mrs Wright and a group of our children who jointly WON the Gerald Dowle Schools’ Challenge Shield with Ellwood School at the recent Bream Show. All the produce entered was from our school garden.
Year 1 & 2 Trip to The Forest Community Church
Our Year 1 and Year 2 children, along with Apollo Class from Yorkley School, had a wonderful afternoon at The Forest Community Church in Cinderford on Wednesday.
Foxes & Wild Boar Violin Concert
Congratulations to Foxes & Wild Boar Class for performing so well in their violin concert to parents this morning. Thank you to everyone who came to watch.
