Sports Premium
What is the Sports Premium?
Sports Premium is a grant which the government has allocated to improve the quality and breadth of PE, sports and physical activity for children in primary schools. It is also expected that there will be an increase in participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.
At Parkend Primary School we believe passionately in the value of physical activity in supporting a healthy lifestyle and well being of all children, and therefore promote participation in a wide range of activities and sports. This includes those who are less enthusiastic, and those that show real potential in competitions.
Our curriculum is developed and delivered with the full input of our children, who give their views through our pupil Sports Leaders.
